Daria Serra

Owner

Daria was born in Civitavecchia, a seaside town on the south coast to the north of Rome. Her family originate from Sardinia where she acquired both her strong personality and stubbornness.

Once Daria finished her studies, she spent some time working in the hospitality industry where she realized she had a passion for hosting.  After various positions in Italy she decided to move to London, where she began her managerial career in hospitality, eventually becoming a restaurant manager in 2018.

In July 2019, Daria embarked on her own entrepreneurial adventure with her Husband Giovanni with the creation of Rosmarino’s, an amalgamation of all their experience and the beginning of a wonderful adventure.

The main characteristics of Daria are reflected in the restaurant, with attention to detail, meticulous customer service and a positive and friendly environment being the predominant character of the restaurant, and the greatest strengths of Rosmarino’s.

Giovanni Renna

Owner

Giovanni was born in Florence to a Sicilian family who emigrated to Tuscany for work.

Having originally started a career in Accounting, Giovanni’s studies fell short when he discovered the world of catering. His passion for food and wine soon superseded his passion for numbers and he chose to study as a sommelier at the AIS Sommelier school in Florence. 

The following years saw Giovanni work in and around Florence in a variety of positions. He worked as head waiter, Bar Manager, and Assistant sommelier in various restaurants discovering his own passion for hospitality. 

In 2012, driven by a desire to travel and to widen his experiences abroad, Giovanni came to London. Here he worked in various positions including head waiter and assistant manager and the prestigious restaurant Pescatori, and was eventually promoted to restaurant manager. 

Having always maintained a strong passion for Italian food and wine, Giovanni finally decided to start a new adventure with his wife Daria, and his little daughter Sophie. Together they started a dream for quality Italian cuisine and Rosmarino’s was born.
